Several days ago, on Friday June 29, the FBI raided the homes and offices of black liberation activists in St. Louis, Missouri, and St. Petersburg, Florida. This is a reminder that neither Democratic nor Republican elected officials are a buffer from the centuries-old American tradition of violent, authoritarian crackdowns on black liberation organizations.
